Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using PrompTessor ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

PrompTessor is a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform that provides an AI prompt workspace for generating, analyzing, optimizing, refining, reverse-engineering, saving, and reusing prompts. Our services include:

• Prompt Generation
• Prompt Analysis and Optimization
• Prompt Refinement with user feedback
• Reverse Prompt workflows for images, videos, text, and URLs
• Prompt Library for saving reusable prompts
• Token estimation and usage tracking
• Prompt history, versions, and library management
• Performance analytics and recommendations
• Developer integrations through the REST API, remote MCP, OAuth, and webhooks

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and update your account information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

PrompTessor offers Free, Pro, Pro+, Max, and add-on usage options. Depending on the option shown at checkout, paid access may be purchased for a fixed term with manual renewal or as an automatically renewing subscription. By purchasing a paid plan, subscription, or add-on, you agree to the applicable fees and the billing and renewal terms displayed before you confirm the purchase.

• Free Plan includes limited monthly usage at no cost.
• Paid plans include expanded usage limits and access to paid prompt workflows such as Prompt Refinement and Reverse Prompt. Usage allowances reset according to the cycle shown in your account; for yearly auto-renew subscriptions, recurring usage refreshes remain monthly and are anchored to the subscription start date.
• A manual-renewal purchase does not renew or charge automatically. You must purchase another fixed term to continue paid access after the current term expires.
• Web auto-renew subscriptions are processed by Polar as Merchant of Record. Subscriptions purchased in the iOS app are processed by Apple through the App Store. Each renews at the monthly or yearly interval shown before purchase until canceled.
• You may cancel an auto-renew subscription at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal, while paid access continues through the end of the already-paid billing period. You may reverse a scheduled cancellation before that period ends.
• If a renewal payment fails, the applicable provider handles payment recovery. Polar may retry collection, while Apple handles recovery through the App Store; Apple Billing Grace Period is not enabled. Paid access may end after the already-paid period if recovery is unsuccessful.
• An upgrade takes effect according to the applicable provider's subscription rules and may create a prorated charge, credit, or refund. It does not reset usage already consumed or the usage-refresh cycle; the billing and renewal dates follow the provider's confirmed transaction.
• A downgrade is scheduled for the next billing cycle. The current plan and benefits remain available until then, with no immediate charge, refund, or credit, and the scheduled downgrade may be canceled before it takes effect.
• Any proration shown by PrompTessor is an estimate only. The payment provider determines the final amount, currency, taxes, discounts, and prorated charge or credit at confirmation.
• If you start an auto-renew subscription while a manual-renewal plan is active, the subscription begins immediately after successful payment and replaces the manual plan. Remaining manual-plan time is not carried over, credited, prorated, or restored if the subscription is later canceled.
• Manual-renewal purchases are unavailable while an auto-renew subscription is active. They become available after the subscription is canceled and its current paid billing period has ended.
• If a fixed-term plan expires or a canceled subscription reaches the end of its paid billing period, the account is downgraded to the Free Plan unless another paid entitlement is active.
• Add-on usage credits are purchased separately and are non-refundable. Unused add-on usage does not expire, but can only be used while the account has an active Pro, Pro+, or Max plan.
• Payments for plans, subscriptions, add-ons, and elapsed billing periods are generally non-refundable, and cancellation does not create a refund or credit for the current billing period.
• A prorated credit used to calculate a plan change is a billing adjustment only, is not a cash refund, and cannot be withdrawn as cash.
• A refund may be provided only where required by applicable law, for a verified duplicate or unauthorized charge, when the purchased service was not provided, or when the payment provider or Merchant of Record determines that a refund is required for dispute prevention or compliance.

For transactions processed through Polar, you also agree to the Polar Buyer Terms and Conditions.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Generate harmful, illegal, or offensive content
• Upload or submit content that you do not have the right to use
• Use reverse prompt workflows to copy protected content in a way that violates third-party rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service for competitive analysis or to develop competing products
• Share your account credentials with others
• Exceed the usage limits of your subscription plan

6. Developer Services

These additional terms apply when you use or connect to PrompTessor developer services, including the REST API, remote MCP, OAuth, and webhooks:

• Public API and MCP access may require an eligible paid plan and remains subject to published scopes, quotas, concurrency limits, rate limits, credit charges, and other plan restrictions.
• You must keep API keys, OAuth tokens, registration credentials, and webhook secrets confidential, use reasonable safeguards, rotate or revoke them when compromised, and accept responsibility for activity performed through them until access is revoked.
• Before authorizing an OAuth or MCP client, you must review its identity and requested scopes. Actions performed by a connected client within granted scopes are treated as authorized by you, and the client may be governed by separate third-party terms and privacy policies.
• You may not share, sell, or sublicense credentials; bypass or evade limits, billing, scopes, access controls, or security measures; use multiple accounts or clients to circumvent restrictions; or send disruptive, excessive, malicious, or abusive automated requests. We may limit, suspend, or revoke developer access for plan ineligibility, security risk, abuse, or violation of these Terms.
• You may register only webhook endpoints that you own or are authorized to use. You are responsible for lawful receipt and processing of event data, endpoint security and availability, protecting the signing secret, verifying signatures, and safely handling retries, delays, duplicate deliveries, and out-of-order events.
• Developer services may be versioned, changed, deprecated, interrupted, delayed, retried, or discontinued. We will provide reasonable notice of material deprecations when practicable, but no availability or service-level commitment applies unless agreed separately in writing. You remain responsible for your integration, automated actions, and review and lawful use of outputs.

6A. Advertising and Sponsored Content

Eligible public Free Tools may be supported by third-party contextual advertising, including during a limited pilot. Ads may appear while PrompTessor processes a request and after a result is shown.

• Advertising is clearly labeled as advertising or sponsored content. An ad does not constitute an endorsement, warranty, or recommendation by PrompTessor.
• Advertisers and advertising providers are responsible for their ads, offers, products, services, destination links, and claims. Interactions with them may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.
• Ad availability, content, position, size, refresh behavior, and fill are not guaranteed and may change, be limited, or be discontinued.
• You must not fraudulently click ads, generate artificial impressions, interfere with an auction or placement, or attempt to manipulate advertising measurement.
• The Privacy Policy explains the contextual information and technical data that may be processed for advertising. Do not submit sensitive or confidential information to a public Free Tool unless you accept that processing.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of PrompTessor and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You retain ownership of the prompts, files, URLs, text, images, videos, examples, feedback, and other content you submit to our Service. By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to process, analyze, transform, refine, optimize, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the requested PrompTessor workflows to you.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. PROMPTESSOR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROMPTESSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
